Nasma Hassan
Founder and Director
An MSc Forensic Psychology graduate from Goldsmiths, University of London, she has extensive experience working with victims of abuse in clinical settings in the UK and India. She founded Spotlight with the aim of making mental health support, as well as legal support accessible and affordable to victims of abuse all over India.

Naziya Zaina Naufal
Service Manager
Currently a PhD scholar at IIM Ahmedabad, she is an an MSc Psychology graduate from RCSS, Kochi. She has worked as an Asst. Professor in various institutions, as well as at IIM Kozhikode as an Academic Associate. She manages Spotlight with the shared aim of creating a space for abuse victims in India.

Nehwath Fathima
Legal Advisor
An advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of India, she holds a Master of Laws in Transnational Justice and Crime from UPEACE, Costa Rixa and B.A LL.B (Hons) from NUALS, Kerala. Most recently, she worked with an accountability mechnaism at the United Nations and has experience handling issues related to children in cinflict and gender-based violence.

Rintu Mariam Biju
Legal Advisor
With a Masters in Corporate Law from HNLU, Raipur, she has worked as a legal journalist for over 4 years with reputed legal news platforms, covering new from the Supreme Court of India & high courts. She has been collaborating with ngos and other organisations to spread awareness about child abuse and the available legal remedies. She decided to be a part of Spotlight with a vision to help survivors of abuse recover in the best way possible.

Aswathy Krishnan
Asst. Legal Advisor
A dedicated legal professional with an LLM in International Commercial and Maritime Law at Swansea University, UK and B.Com LL.B degree from CUSAT, Kerala, she is passionate in using the law as a tool for empowerment. Her commitment to law and justice drives her to make meaningful impact by ensuring that every individyal has access to the legal resources and support they deserve.

Swapnela Chaudhary
Care Navigation Lead
With an MSc in Mental Health: Psychological Therapies from Queen Mary University of London, she currently provides essential support to service users in intensive care units within the NHS in London. She has a strong commitment to advancing psychological care, she focuses on making mental health resources accessible to abuse survivors nationwide.

Lakshmi Thara MS
Care Navigation Lead
As a Consultant Psychologist with an MSc in Clinical Psychology from CMR University, she currently works the School Counselot at The Choice School, Kochi. She is passionate about supporting the mental well-being of young people through counseling and emotional development programs. As Care Navigation Lead, she has contributed to initatives like the Kollam Project playing a key role in guiding abuse survivors through legal and emotional support systems.

Iman Amjid
Graphic Design Lead
With a BA in Design from Goldsmiths, University of London, she is currently working as a Producing Assistant at UK City of Culture. She is an expert in creating compelling visuals that help us spread awareness about our cause. She is passionate about using design to make a differnce in the lives of abuse victims all over India.

Sudheera Krishna
Volunteer Manager
With an MSc in Neurocognitive Psychology from University of Oldenburg, Germany, she has extensive experience in both organisational and community settings. She is deeply committed to addressing mental health challenges at the grassroots level. Her exceptional leadership skills combined with her passion for making a difference, ensure that volunteers are well-equipped to handle any situation effectively.

Jessica Mathews
Volunteer Manager
As a passionate advocate with a BSW dgeree from Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kalamassery, her experience spans across different communities and educational institutions across Kerala. She is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and working alongside a dedicated team to create positive change and provide the help those in need truly deserve.
